Go Fly A Kite

You can almost hear the sounds of Mary Poppins floating through your head... accept we don't have a governess or chalk drawings, but we did have alot of fun.

Kids being kids.

Easter Time

Easter was fun, Josh took this picture of his finger with the kids in the background at the Easter egg hunt. There were some fun things to do and then the kids pigged out on candy.

Had fun making easter eggs at home.

Went to the park and had a nice time.

Hanging out,

Running around,

and generally being goofy.

We even saw 2 homeless women who were camped out & washing their clothes, very sad.

On a very positive note, Nathaniel's leg has been perfectly fine ever since Thursday when he had to be carried around.

Give a kid a camera....

Nathaniel had difficulty walking again today - I don't know if I should take him to the doctor or not. It comes & goes. It's really quite a mystery to me.

Envious

I've been reading everyone's blogs about how lately almost everyone has gone on vacation without any children and I'm getting a little jealous. Listen if anyone wants to come on up and watch the kiddos for us I suppose we wouldn't argue. Bring a few people and you could even do some snowboarding :) Okay if anyone is considering we do have a few basic rules, just a standard application & required background check, CPR is mandatory as well as a certified mental health examination - however this will not guarantee your sanity after you have watched our children. I'm sure the requests are going to be pouring in...lol

Seriously looks like everyone has been having fun - Kim & Steve are pretty much on a permanent vacation, can't wait to visit you guys.

Mode of Transportation

We made a trip to Denver to look at spending some $$. 36 hours later we were home with a mom-mobile. Yes it is a minivan, but don't tell Kelly- he is in denial & wants to put flames on the sides.

The Sienna gets a taste of snow.

I pretty much like everything about it, but here are my favorites...

DVD player, these awesome tinted windows and sunshades so I won't ever have to hear someone saying the sun's in their eyes.

Back-up camera & navigation - this came in handy in Denver.

***Hands down my most favorite thing...

Next time we go to buy a vehicle, we are getting a babysitter first.

Unexpected news about Nathaniel

We have had an unusual 12 hours. Most of the kids are sick they either caught what the neighbors had or picked up some bug at the grocery store. Last night about 3am Nathaniel woke up screaming, he seemed like he had maybe fallen out of bed and he wouldn't let us touch or move his left leg. It was a tough morning with him screaming with almost every movement. He started doing a little better at about 8 - took him to the doctor at 10 and mentioned about Caleb's leg, as it turns out it's the same leg. Anyway Nathaniel actually walked for the doctor & she couldn't tell anything was wrong - maybe something hurt it & maybe part of it may be wanting some attention. Anyway I'm quite glad I took him because she did find out that he has a murmur. Now he will be seen by the visiting cardiologist here and we are asking everyone to pray that it is not serious. Joshua has subaortic stenosis - basically a narrowing of the valve in his heart, don't know if this is genetic or not but I had the doctor double check on all the kids and it seems that Nathaniel & Joshua are the only ones who have a murmur. Nathaniel has always been small & I just hope this is not in part due to his heart. Anyway his leg is doing just fine, they didn't even take X-rays and he was out running all over the place this afternoon. I think deep down he maybe thought he could get a cast too, he thought it was pretty cool.

Hodgepodge

Forgot to give Caleb his card from grandma & grandpa, he truly enjoyed driving it over various pieces of furniture.

The kids pulled the cushions off the couch and Caleb fell asleep against one & yes he is drooling on it, very nice.

Other stuff that was on the camera...

Happy Birthday!!

I turned 3 today. I helped mom make cake & enjoyed a particularly healthy treat of licking out the bowl.

Mom went out of the room & I pretty much put the bowl on my head, it made for a nice crusty hairdo for my big day. I didn't think mom would notice, she did.

Here is my cake. I was very excited to have a rescue pack cake for my birthday - I kind of have a big thing for the cartoon Diego right now.

I fell asleep right before my friends came over so I was pretty quiet.

I got some really cool presents. Thanks for the Diego stuff!

Here's a video of me being cool.

Now maybe I can talk mom into giving me a bath with my new Diego towel.
